5. Goldberg Vs. Brock Lesnar - WrestleMania 33

This foreshadowed a new mode of WWE main event perfected at Survivor Series 2018 - a stripped-down fight as opposed to an epic, methodical sprawl.

Lesnar shot out of the gate by delivering three German suplexes, destroying Goldberg's back and the memories of his embarrassing squash match loss at Survivor Series '16 - until Goldberg immediately shot back up and flattened Lesnar, mid-balls out roar, with a Spear. This was a cracking sequence. The obvious outcome was plunged in doubt.

Goldberg then smashed him with another, all while Heyman sold the drama with panicked ringside wailing. Lesnar rolled out of the ring. Goldberg followed him and smashed him with a third Spear, this time through the barricade.

A grand total of two moves had been deployed three times each, and the crowd went bananas for all of them; The Universal Champion, mildly jeered during his introduction, was met with "Goldberg!" chants as he rolled back into the ring, avoided a sudden F5, and floored Lesnar with a fourth Spear. The crowd noise intensified. The move count remained, unbelievably, at two. A third was struck when Lesnar barely kicked out of the subsequent Jackhammer in an awesome near fall. Lesnar evaded a fifth spear with a freakishly athletic leap frog before unleashing seven more Germans and the match-winning F5.

Only four moves were used throughout the course of a scorching burst of rapid fire action. There's a lesson in there for this content-heavy age.
