With us having already covered the shock WWE return of Paige, who replaced Nikki Bella and won the Women's Tag Team Titles with Brie Bella, WrestleMania 42 Night 1 also featured two other titles changing hands.

While that four-team match for the Women's Tag Team Titles was third on the Night 1 line-up, it was followed by Becky Lynch defeating AJ Lee to regain the Women's Intercontinental Championship, meaning Becky becomes a three-time IC Champ.

A brisk nine-minute bout, this one featured several interactions between Lynch and referee Jessika Carr, including the two exchanging shoves at one point. As for the finish, that saw Becky ram AJ's head into an exposed turnbuckle while Carr was distracted, allowing the Man to score the win after hitting a Manhandle Slam on Lee for the 1-2-3.

The Women's World Championship match went on second-to-last, and saw Liv Morgan dethrone Stephanie Vaquer, bringing La Primera's reign to an end at 211 days, having defeated IYO SKY for that vacant title at Wrestlepalooza back in September. After plentiful shenanigans from Liv's Judgment Day stablemates Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, Morgan put Vaquer away after throwing her into the ring steps, hitting a Codebreaker, and then landing the Oblivion after seven minutes. This marks Liv's third reign with the Women's World Title.

Elsewhere on the WrestleMania 42 Night 1 card, the Usos and LA Knight defeated Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed in the opener; Jacob Fatu beat Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned match; the aforementioned Women's Tag Team Titles change took place; Gunther put Seth Rollins to sleep after Rollins was attacked by the returning Bron Breakker; Cody Rhodes retained the WWE Championship against Randy Orton in the main event after Randy RKO'd Pat McAfee; and, prior to that main event, and a fantastic story coming out of WrestleMania, Bianca Belair made her long-awaited return to announce that she's pregnant.
