10 CM Punk Matches You Need To Relive On WWE Network
2. CM Punk vs. The Undertaker (Wrestlemania 29)
There's absolutely no reason that anyone should've believed that CM Punk would've defeated The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 29. However, there's CM Punk, if only by having a more "devil may care" attitude than the devil himself, creating the aura of doubt in the WWE Universe necessary to make Punk defeating the Deadman ultimately believable. Punk stole the urn, that in storyline, contained the ashes of the real-life then just deceased Paul Bearer. He treated them as if they were a toy, then cracked them open and dumped them on The Undertaker. In being the first wrestler since say, Yokozuna, to make WWE fans believe that 'taker could "die," he deserves credit. As far as the match itself? It's entertaining, and when The Undertaker wins, Punk won too, as in the most unlikely of fashions, created a supreme match-as-spectacle.
