10 CM Punk WWE Matches We'll Never Get To See

4. Braun Strowman

When CM Punk walked out of WWE in January 2014, Braun Strowman did not exist. Adam Scherr certainly did, but even he was 11 months away from making his in-ring debut. Scherr was still working away at the WWE Performance Center, trying to mould his size into something acceptable between the ropes.

Fast forward three and a half years, and Braun Strowman may well be the most over individual on the entire WWE roster. The 'Monster Among Men' has come completely out of left-field, using the most old-school of styles to put himself in a position to become a major, major star.

Punk was similar to other smaller workers like Eddie Guerrero and Daniel Bryan, in that he was able to make monsters look like killers by selling like his life depended on it. Braun doesn’t need any help in looking like a monster of course, but Strowman vs. Punk would still be an intriguing battle of traditionalism and modernity, the independent scene vs. the Performance Center.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
