10 Completely RANDOM Cameos In AEW

1. Greg Valentine

Shaquille O'Neal from the NBA.

Lars Ulrich from Metallica.

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from KISS.

All of the aforementioned names were among the guests of honour during Chris Jericho's 30th anniversary celebrations for the 7 October, 2020 AEW Dynamite - and yet, it was the random shots of Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine sitting, alone, in the Daily's Place bleachers that stood out above them all.

The bigoted WWE Hall of Famer did have a purpose behind his appearance as, of the evening's featured matches, Cody Rhodes and Brodie Lee shed blood over the latter's TNT Championship in AEW's maiden Dog Collar match; the same stipulation that Valentine and Roddy Piper had made famous in 1983.

But it was Greg Valentine in All Elite Wrestling, the same Greg Valentine who peaked shortly after Tony Khan's first birthday, sitting on his lonesome, sporting the same disgruntled, disinterested, and disdained look across his ageing face. 'The Hammer', ostensibly, couldn't be ar*ed, looking as if he'd rather be clawing his eyes out with a hammer instead of watching the stipulation he'd revolutionised be bettered by two modernistic practitioners of the rugged old-school style.

Valentine, coincidentally, wasn't wheeled out to watch AEW's subsequent Dog Collar matches.

Wonder why.
