10 Completely RANDOM Cameos In AEW

2. Kevin Thorn

This was very, very weird.

Kevin Fertig was a tenured WWE Ruthless Aggression Era performer who bombed, hard, under two aliases. As Mordecai, he was the failed antithesis to The Undertaker's 'Deadman' persona, remembered only for that time he mauled Scotty 2 Hotty on pay-per-view. As Kevin Thorn, he was the failed second coming of 'Taker, an obnoxiously uber-mid-noughties WWE gimmick that teetered on the edge of supernatural b*llocks.

He wasn't good, is the point.

So, naturally, AEW gave him a payday.

Spooky Kev wasn't permitted to enter the All Elite ropes, thankfully, but he was allowed to be around the squared circle, portraying a lumberjack for a December 2022 Rampage match between QT Marshall and defending International (then-All-Atlantic) Champion, Orange Cassidy. The enforcers stationed at ringside were more seconds than they were lumberjacks, being largely comprised of QT's pals in The Factory, and Orange's Best Friends.

And then there was Kevin Thorn.

Thorn, who showed up in full vampire schtick, went unmentioned on commentary. Why was he there? Was he going to be a surprise factor in the match? Had QT Marshall hired him as The Factory's newest member? The group couldn't get much worse, so it was a genuine possibility.

It was none of the above; Kevin, who works as a realtor in the area, was presumptively handed the spot on a whim, saving Tony Khan paying travel expenses to Nick Comoroto or whichever other goober was originally on the lumberjack spreadsheet.
