10 Conclusions From WWE SmackDown (June 11)
1. No One Saw That Brawl Coming
As soon as the 6-man tag was announced at the beginning of the show, it was obvious where things were going to end up. Mainly because WWE do this on every go-home show for a stipulation driven PPV. When it's TLC, someone goes through a table to close the show. If it's Extreme Rules, cage match participants find the steel cage inexplicably lowering to the ring, trapping them inside. If it was a new PPV that involved, for example, industrial machinery, John Cena would give someone an Attitude Adjustment into a woodchipper.
The inevitable happened and all 6 tag match participants started hitting each other with their finishers and jumping off ladders. Even Dolph left Lana's side long enough to get involved, although, disappointingly, R-Truth did not emerge.
In the end, Neville climbed the ladder and grabbed the briefcase, but not before throwing away his gumshield. Given that he's a relative newcomer, someone should probably explain to him that he hasn't actually won, and still needs to turn up this Sunday and watch Roman Reigns win instead.
