10 Conclusions From WWE SmackDown (June 11)
8. King Who?
Has becoming King Of The Ring done anything for Bad News Barrett, other than make him look a complete pillock every time he makes his way to the ring? It used to be that winning the King Of The Ring tournament meant that a guy was on the road to superstardom and the WWE title. Barrett, it seems, is floundering in mid-card obscurity.
His match against Jack Swagger (like Miz, another former world champion who's never getting near the main event again) served only to set up a match with R-Truth (who appears to have come to terms with the fact that he is not, in fact, a participant in the Ladder Match this Sunday) for the Money In The Bank kickoff show.
That's right - Barrett isn't even on the main show. He and Truth are curtain-jerkin'.
It's difficult to see where Wade Barrett can go from here. He seems destined to be mid-card for life - a shame, considering how much momentum he had when squaring off against Cena as leader of the Nexus.
