10 Contenders To Become WWE 205 Live's General Manager

1. Nigel McGuinness

Nigel McGuinness is far too good to be commentating on 205 Live, so WWE will probably contrive to promote him in the one way which'd actually get less out of his attributes.

Nige becoming 205 Live GM makes sense, though it would necessitate a replacement on the headset. That's no problem though, as the company has a production line of Byron Saxtons just itching to offer their inane 'insight'. The transition isn't exactly new either; Gorilla Monsoon, Eric Bischoff, and (less successfully) Jonathan Coachman all made the jump from announce desk to office desk, so why not the Brit? As one of the current voices of the brand, he knows it better than anyone, and an appointment from within is internally logical.

He's also done the gig before, acting as TNA's painful sounding 'Xplosion Comissioner', albeit for all of a fortnight so. It all counts on the ol' resumé.

Probability: 8/10

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
