10 Contenders To Replace JBL On WWE SmackDown Live

8. Steve Corino

WWE has a number of experienced commentators in the company, but some of these are now performing training roles down at the WWE Performance Center. Matt Bloom did a more than decent job on NXT a couple of years ago, but the big man has his hands full as head trainer at the PC.

Steve Corino is also a trainer at the Performance Center, but it isn’t inconceivable that his schedule could be altered so that he could fly into SmackDown Live shows on a Tuesday night. Corino has done plenty of announce work for Ring of Honor and NJPW and is also a student of the game. There would be no catch-up period with The King of Old School at the desk.

The 'Trouble King' is another outside bet for the desk, but if WWE is looking for a fresh voice with experience and expertise, Corino could be the guy.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
