If Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler is an outside bet, then Dolph Ziggler may be one of the few realistic names that sits a little further out in the odds. Ziggler hasn’t been used on WWE TV in an active manner in two months now, and rumours of his retirement have followed him for years.

The last two weeks have seen Ziggler promise a new character, one that is all style and no substance, with many expecting him to soon debut his Southpaw Regional Wrestling persona, Nicci Lee Styxxx. That may be entertaining for all of five minutes, but it could also be one of the most embarrassing moments of Dolph’s career.

Ziggler has done well on commentary when he has been pushed into a guest-turn in the past. It may not fit his current bitter character, but it is easy to imagine Dolph calling the action on Tuesday nights. A lot of work needs to be done on rebuilding him in the ring - why not rebuild him outside of it?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
