10 Content Additions That Would Improve WWE Network
2. Old Developmental Stuff From OVW, FCW & NXT
With the increasing popularity of NXT, and with "Before They Were Stars" shows being fun in just about any aspect of entertainment, why wouldn't WWE want to show the humble beginnings for many of their all-time greats? WWE's "Class Of 2002" rookie list is something special. John Cena, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Batista, Shelton Benjamin, Matt Morgan, Rene Dupree, Nick Dinsmore (aka Eugene) and Aaron Stevens (aka Damien Sandow) were all names who made their WWE debuts in 2002, or who were getting very close to that level once 2003 rolled around. We've seen them all go on to bigger and better things, but why not take a look at their roots? Putting episodes of Ohio Valley Wrestling (WWE's developmental territory at the time) television on the Network would be a great way to see just how far those men have come since then. Different gimmicks, different move sets, different personalities... everything has changed so much in the dozen-plus years since then. CM Punk in OVW. Daniel Bryan in Florida Championship Wrestling (WWE's developmental after OVW and before NXT). Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in FCW. Dolph Ziggler in OVW. Kofi Kingston in OVW. Bray Wyatt in FCW and NXT. The list goes on and on, and this would give fans of all ages a chance to watch the transformation and growth, seeing it unfold "as it happened". Consider it something like a history class.
