In another instance of fans simply supporting a current WWE employee, a cluster of fans caused quite the stir at an NXT taping back in January of this year. Just days after Punk had walked out of the company, the cries for the Straightedge Superstar were so great that the tapings actually had to be delayed until the chants died down. CM Punk signs were also confiscated amid the uncertainty over the former WWE Champions future. Again, much like the case of the aforementioned Ryder, it appears that if the WWE dont agree with your opinion then theyre going to do something about it. In this case, its perhaps understandable as its not fair for NXT to have suffered over the Punk situation. But if the incident was causing that much of a response, surely that tells the WWE that they should have done everything they could to bring Punk back? Either way, this seems like further evidence that the old adage should have something of a disclaimer; the WWE Universe can cheer for who they likeas long as its an opinion that the company shares.
