Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth were the WWF power couple of the 1980's. Fans adored watching their romance blossoming on screen, but behind the scenes, all was not well between the married couple. Savage was a controlling partner and Elizabeth struggled with his tempestuous ways. In the summer of 1992, they split. The controversy comes in the fact that Savage then blamed Hulk Hogan as the reason for the marriage failing. Elizabeth had turned to Hogan and his wife Linda, leaning on them in the weeks after her marriage breakdown. But Savage accused Hogan of encouraging her to leave him, even implying that the two had been having an affair. Hogan later denied this, but a personal animosity between he and Savage existed for years afterwards. The crazy thing was, this actually mirrored the fictional storyline in which Savage's character accused Hogan's character of having an affair with Elizabeth in 1989.
