10 Most Controversial 'Shoot' Comments From WWE TV

1. Punk's Pipe Bomb

The Summer Of Punk 2011 was the hottest WWE storyline in years, thanks in no small part to this infamous shoot promo. We all know the story by now: Punk was set to leave the WWE when his contract expired in July 2011 and he threatened to leave the WWE with John Cena's WWE Championship. Punk said that before he left he had to get a few things off of his chest... Punk called John Cena an 'ass-kisser' and said that he was good at it but maybe not as good as 'Dwayne' (The Rock) and it only got more personal form there. Punk said he was the best in the business but that he wasn't promoted, offered movies or television or on the poster for WrestleMania in spite of this. He went on, shooting on the fans, John Laurinaitis, Triple H and name-dropping New Japan Pro Wrestling and his friend and fellow professional wrestler Colt Cabana. The promo made Punk the talk of the industry and led to Punk's classic match with Cena at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.It was one of the most memorable moments in Raw history and a textbook example of how to properly do a worked shoot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OS9wZGb_3g
