10 Most Controversial 'Shoot' Comments From WWE TV

9. Triple H Buries Chris Masters

Chris Masters had everything that WWE looked for in a headliner when he debuted in 2005. Well, not everything, but he had a hell of a physique and that's half the battle when it comes to winning Vince over. Masters' career was going great guns and he looked primed for super stardom before he got sent to rehab to battle his burgeoning painkiller addiction. Masters came back to TV noticeably smaller than he was before his stint in recovery and speculation was rife about the cause. Masters' weight loss was referenced on Raw by Triple H in a backstage segment when Masters opined that he was thinking about writing a book on nutrition, Triple H quipped 'Reall? What are you going to call it: How To Lose Fifty Pounds In Four Weeks?'. As well as being pointless and mean-spirited, this comment also contradicted WWE was trying to achieve with the Wellness Policy. Masters elaborated on the incident in an interview with Power Slam Magazine saying:
"First of all, let me say that Triple H is a big ball-buster. I don€™t think he€™s as devious as people make him out to be, but he€™s a ball-buster, albeit an equal opportunity ball-buster: he takes shots at Shawn Michaels all the time. They were always taking jabs at each other. So, it might have been the wrong message, yes, at the time. But I don€™t think it was meant as a malicious thing."
Not meant as a malicious thing? Who was Masters kidding? A few weeks later JBL noted on commentary that Masters looked like 'he had escaped from a concentration camp'.
