10 Craziest Things That Ever Happened After WWE SmackDown Went Off The Air

7. John Mysterio?

On 10 September 2021, The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and The Usos) had a six-man tag team match against Rey and Dominik Mysterio and their mystery partner. AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!!!!

Making his first WWE appearance since his SummerSlam '21 main event against Reigns, Cena appeared as back-up for The Mysterios to a huge ovation from the crowd. Big Match John was instrumental in getting his team to win, dodging a Spear from Roman before dropping Jimmy Uso with an AA to score the pin.

It's not at all surprising that WWE pulled out the big guns for this particular edition of SmackDown. The episode, which was advertised as a "Super SmackDown", was also taking place in Madison Square Garden and the company loves to put on something special whenever they return to their spiritual home.

This match is momentous for a number of reasons. Not only is it Cena's most recent WWE match to date, but it's also a rare loss for The Bloodline at full force which, even in a dark segment, is something to write home about.
