10 Craziest Wrestling Moments That Ever Happened Live

10. The Rated R Superstar's Live Sex Celebration

When Edge won his first ever WWE championship from John Cena at New Year€™s Revolution in January 2006, cashing in the first ever Money In The Bank briefcase to do it, it was a big deal: a night of firsts. Edge€™s way of celebrating it? Having sex with his onscreen girlfriend Lita, live on the following night€™s RAW€ in the middle of the ring. The actual event itself had the air of verisimilitude to it for the fans watching €“ everyone knew that Edge and Lita had been an item for a short while in real life, and the scandal over Lita cheating on Matt Hardy with Edge on the road was still fresh enough in people€™s minds for this angle to work like gangbusters. In reality, it was one of the most embarrassing things that either wrestler had ever had to do for work. Lita begged her friends and family to boycott RAW that night, while Edge gritted his teeth and just tried not to humiliate himself too much.
The segment received a 5.2 rating, easily RAW€™s highest in over a year €“ fans tuned in because it reminded them of the heady days of the Attitude Era, when the action was risqué as a matter of course. In retrospect, aside from a slight wardrobe malfunction (the boss insisted that there be actual nakedness, and Lita flashed the camera by accident), the two performed their parts rather well, stalling and dragging it out to maximise the viewership before, inevitably, they were interrupted by pervy old Uncle Ric, and the Nature Boy came down to show Edge how it should be done.
The funniest part of the segment actually came with the interruption: not because of Flair, but because of Edge and Lita€™s reactions to being walked in on. The two heels camped it up, huddled under their sheet with looks of horror and shame as Naitch strutted down to ringside, absurdly ignoring the fact that they were already canoodling semi-nude on live TV in front of a crowd of thousands of fans on purpose.
