10 Craziest WWE Tag-Teams Of All-Time

2. 'The New Legion of Doom' - Road Animal Warrior And Heidenreich

The Legion of Doom are one of the greatest tag-teams to ever form in tag-team wrestling, but in 2005, WWE reformed the tag-team in an iteration that could only be described as mental. In 2003, the Legion had an impressive comeback match against Kane and Rob Van Dam. Upon seeing that Road Warrior Hawk could perform and wasn't having fitness or wellness issues anymore, things looked up for the team, but sadly Hawk passed away in late 2003. In 2005, Road Warrior Animal appeared back on Smackdown, and was soon thrown into a feud with MNM. He found a new partner in the form of the poetry quoting ex-psychotic Heidenreich. The notion of Heidenreich replacing Road Warrior Hawk is completely absurd, it makes no sense. It's bad enough that the WWE didn't let sleeping dogs lie, but they replaced Hawk with the mediocre, bland big man Heidenreich, who struggled during his entire wrestling career to get over. Not to mention, Animal was more than a few years past his physical prime at this point. What's more absurd is that the duo beat the solid team of MNM for the titles. Everything about this Legion of Doom was ridiculous, especially when Heidenreich took up the pads and face paint of the LOD. Whoever green-lit this pairing should be in the asylum.
