Booker T and Goldust is another tag-team pairing that should be ill-suiting, awkward or bad, but their partnership and the comedic antics that came with it were pure gold. At first, Goldust began stalking Booker T, but Booker continued to ignore Goldust. 'Dust even arranged an elaborate scheme involving an attractive woman and a hotel room, just to talk to lure Booker into conversing with him. Booker initially refused Goldust's offers of partnership, choosing to join the newly reformed NWO instead. After a swift and literal kicking out of the group, Booker turned face and joined with the bizarre one. It's crazy that this pairing actually worked and came off as both funny and amusing, but the two were also over as a team and quickly became fan favorites. The team of Booker and 'Dust is a good example of how comedy segments can promote a tag-team, and test the waters with an audience before they actually start teaming, much like they did years later with Team Hell No. The worst thing about the tag-team is that it was a very brief alliance - Booker T was approaching major stardom and was moved on to the World Heavyweight Championship title scene soon after.
