10 CRAZY Last-Minute Picks To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2022
5. Cora Jade
Of all the women on the NXT 2.0 roster, few have been established so quickly as Cora Jade. The risk-taking skateboarder has already taken part in a WarGames match and was given not only the most memorable high spot but the pinfall, too. She has youth on her side, a clear gimmick, and an obvious appeal.
She lost in her first women’s title match, eating the pin in a triple threat match for Mandy Rose’s belt, but perhaps that was a mere smokescreen in the run-up to the Rumble. Jade is clearly a work in progress, but we saw with Bianca Belair last year how easy it can be to build a star when the office genuinely believes in them.
One thing’s for sure: WWE needs to bring some new stars into their female roster, and even more crucially, they need babyfaces now that Becky Lynch has committed fully to the dark side. Cora Jade will be just 21 years old when the Rumble rolls around, but the fact that she’s getting a real push in 2.0 suggests there’s a semblance of a plan for her future.
