10 CRAZY Last-Minute Picks To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2022
6. Veer
At the time of writing, the impending arrival of Veer has been advertised week after week on Raw. It has been dragged out so long that it has become a joke - indeed it’s so silly that even a compy as lacking in self-awareness as WWE must have a sense of how daft the very notion of “Veer” has become.
Assuming for a moment WWE are in on the joke, what bigger swerve could they possibly pull than having Veer show up at long last, debuting not on Raw but at the Royal Rumble, winning the whole thing? Perhaps he could dump out his old boss Jinder Mahal, or a big star like Randy Orton, shocking the world by firstly actually turning up, and secondly doing something of note upon arrival.
It won’t happen for any number of reasons - primarily that the majority of fans in attendance would be pretty nonplussed by this whole imaginary spectacle - but you wouldn’t put it past WWE to torpedo an entire event just to make it clear for posterity that they do listen to the chatter on the internet, and they do know what their fans think and want.
Surely someone on the booking committee has some kind of plan for Veer. Maybe, just maybe, it’s the most unlikely of reintroductions.
