Back in November 2022, the one-time Sanity leader Eric Young reportedly made an unexpected return to WWE.

Before the one-time Impact star could re-debut on the main roster, however, the former NXT Tag Team Champion quietly exited the company once again in April, with Young finally explaining his reasons for doing so when speaking to PWInsider recently.

Alluding to reports of Young's departure from WWE being linked to the return of Vince McMahon as Executive Chairman, the star revealed that he had signed up for one thing, only for it to eventually turn into something else entirely.

In Young's mind, "personally, professionally, and more importantly for (him), morally, (he) just couldn't work there anymore."

It was also revealed by Fightful Select recently that Young was actually part of a plan to bring in a "new" Wyatt Family stable at one stage, with that position in the creepy unit likely putting EY in a "pretty significant spot in the company."

In the end, though, once the two-time Impact World Champion's non-compete period was up, Young was happy to return to his former employer, rocking up at Slammiversary 2023 in July and seemingly having the time of his life back in the company he never wanted to leave.
