10 Crazy Wrestling Partnerships That Shouldn't Have Worked (But Did)

4. Team Hell No

Team Hell No was such a successful act that their 2018 reunion remains the only circumstances under which a full-on Kane return is acceptable these days, with him and Daniel Bryan reconvening making for one of SmackDown's more memorable storylines that year.

This tandem was the oddest of modern pro-wrestling odd couples. Though he wasn't the fearsome behemoth of old, Kane was still working the 'Demon' shtick in 2012. Bryan, meanwhile, was just months removed from the rank disappointment of WrestleMania XXVIII, where he was squashed by Sheamus in 18 seconds. He was an erratic, deluded heel who'd fallen out of the WWE Championship picture completely, and feuded with Kane heading into SummerSlam, where he bested the big man.

Cue: the famous anger management classes with Dr. Shelby, and a full-on recovery run for Bryan after the misery brought upon him by Sheamus.

Team Hell No's relationship was frequently volatile. They were a dysfunctional mess who bickered, squabbled and argued all the time, held together only by the knowledge that they were dynamite together between the ropes. This created some of WWE's best comedy in living memory, laying the groundwork for the great Bryan babyface run to come.
