10 Crazy WWE Moments That Could Only Happen On Live TV
7. The Ring Collapsing For Brock Lesnar And Big Show
This is arguably the most memorable moment in Smackdown's 15 year history. It's not a live show, but as one of WWE's two major TV shows it would definitely qualify. It was the June 12, 2003 edition of Smackdown with Lesnar as the WWE Champion and Show was challenging him. Show grabbed him for a Chokeslam, but he didn't think it would work in the ring, so they went to the top rope. Lesnar fought him off and set him up for a superplex. He connected on it and the ring collapsed. It was unlike anything we had ever seen before. The arena exploded in a loud eruption and every time they showed replays it looked just as impressive. The reaction of the announcers Michael Cole and Tazz were great with Cole freaking out about while Tazz let out a "holy s**t" line that we were all probably thinking when we saw it. Smackdown ended with Show and Lesnar laid out in the ring selling this is as the most painful thing they've ever gone through in their careers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JNaG2M5YqQ They did the spot again in 2011 with Mark Henry and Big Show at the Vengeance 2011 PPV. It hadn't been done in such a long time that it was really fresh and drew a big reaction.
