8. Matt Hardy Returns To Confront Edge

It was early 2005 when it became public knowledge that Lita cheated on her boyfriend Matt Hardy with another wrestler, Edge. In a stupid move on WWE's part, they fired Hardy in April because they were probably worried something might happen. It's not like there was much reasoning for Hardy being fired. They just did it anyway. Two months after he was fired, Hardy returned on the June 11, 2005 edition of Raw. At first he attacked Edge backstage as he was walking with Lita. It was a smart move on WWE's part because it let people know Hardy was there, so it made people think there would be more between them. Following an Edge match with Kane that ended in a DQ, Hardy showed up again to attack Edge. Security immediately jumped into the ring to pull Hardy off him. The crowd went wild for it.
