10 Crazy WWE Raw Moments You Totally Don't Remember
7. The Undertaker's Home Invasion
WWE love a home invasion angle.
This week’s SmackDown saw Randy Orton literally burn Bray Wyatt’s compound to the ground, and in the most famous example, Brian Pillman pulled a gun on Steve Austin when the Rattlesnake broke into his home. It’s a trope that WWE go back to time and time again, but Paul Bearer’s 1998 confrontation with The Undertaker is often forgotten about.
It was June 22nd, and Bearer had had the life beaten out of him by 'Taker one week prior. Joining the broadcast via satellite, Bearer thought he was safe within the confines of his own home, and showed no hesitation in running The Deadman down on-camera.
Big mistake. The lights started flickering, and while Bearer shook his initial fear off, it wasn’t long before The Undertaker appeared. 'Taker destroyed Bearer’s home and laid into him for the second week running, before the feed eventually cut out, leaving Bearer’s fate to the crowd’s imagination.
Taker and Bearer always had a tumultuous relationship, and while this doesn’t top the time 'Taker buried his father in cement, it stands out as one of their most unhinged interactions.
