5. The Lineage Of The NXT Cruiserweight Championship

The lineage of the NXT Cruiserweight Championship is remarkably plagued. It's as if it is being booked by 1998 Kevin Nash with a low, demented cackle.

Inaugural holder TJ Perkins contrived to get sacked in an era in which WWE was so intent on hoarding every available talent that there is still insufficient locker space in the Performance Center. Rich Swann fell afoul of WWE after a very ugly domestic violence incident with his partner. Neville's contract was frozen for almost a full year after he walked out on the company. Enzo Amore was booted out of the door and tried to get back in - astonishingly and hilariously - through the cat flap.

Akira Tozawa is a ninja now, and he fared better than most.

Cedric Alexander was subsequently buried deep into the solid inner core of the planet, otherwise known as Main Event. The lineage becomes uneventful for much of 2018 and 2019 - at which point, proving Enzo right, 205 Live descended into almost complete irrelevance.

But the switch to NXT, Jesus; those who have held the cursed silver have been accused of seriously awful abusive behaviour, have been released, or have been released and rehired as a babyface tactic.

"We gave one guy his job back after we released him in a year of record-breaking profits. It's heartwarming fare!"

And some people actually thought so!
