10 Criminally Underrated Wrestler/Manager Combos

2. Shawn Michaels/Sensational Sherri

In some respects, Sherri Martel was the female Bobby Heenan. She could do everything, including wrestle, and she benefited every single wrestler she worked with. The 'Macho Queen' gig with Randy Savage was mouth-wateringly good, and so were her later associations with Harlem Heat and Ric Flair in WCW.

Don't ignore her time spent buttering up her 'Boy Toy' Shawn Michaels either. She did way more than simply hold some mirrors or sing his theme tune; the WWF experimented with a few things during the early years of Michaels' solo career (in '93, he even had Luna Vachon by his side, of all people). Nothing worked as good as the Sherri valet act did.

Somehow, Sherri's wicked smiles had the girls hating her for getting to hang out with the rock star mid-carder, and her buxom outfits caused the guys to rag on Shawn as well. Make no mistake about it, this was the alliance Michaels needed post-Rockers, and it helped distinguish him from others that he had such a top manager.

Plus, that Sherri rendition of HBK's tune was so obnoxiously grating.
