10 Current NXT Stars Who Will Struggle On WWE's Main Roster
9. Tyler Bate
British wrestling fans are desperate for Tyler Bate to be a roaring WWE success. British wrestling fans are also desperate for WrestleMania to take place at Wembley Stadium, though, and at the moment neither are looking particularly likely.
For the latter, you can probably blame the logistical challenges associated with hosting the show in a timezone that is five to seven hours ahead of the North American market in which they do most of their business. The former is to do with reasons much more difficult to overcome: company officials (allegedly) have it out for him.
If reports are to be believed, this is because Bate last year committed the heinous crime of turning down requests for him to appear at NXT events so he could fulfill the outstanding independent dates to which he had already agreed.
You can't fault his professionalism, but upsetting WWE higher-ups is generally not conducive to success in the ring, let alone on the main roster, where - as CM Punk reminded us a few years ago - the ability to get on the right side of the right people goes a long way.
