10 Current WWE Stars Worth Their Weight In Gold
4. Becky Lynch
In many ways, Becky Lynch's rise is reflective of one of the biggest problems WWE have right now. Since the Attitude Era, WWE have tried and failed on multiple occasions to make their top faces coming across as legitimate badasses. While stars such as John Cena have managed to get around this with significant success, this failure has resulted in company 'chosen ones' such as Roman Reigns struggling to get over with the fans. The problem has been made worse by the exceptional work of stars such as Kevin Owens and Adam Cole, who are so good in their roles as heels that fans can't help but cheer them.
Becky Lynch stands as the most successful example of this phenomenon. After turning heel on Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2018, Lynch went on a tear, cutting impassioned promos each week on TV while putting on killer matches with all opponents she faced. Her star-making moment came on the Raw before Survivor Series 2018 when a wild punch from Nia Jax busted her nose open. Becky completely no-sold this horrific-looking injury, which led to her instantly becoming the hottest thing in the company. A Wrestlemania main-event and year-long title reign followed before Lynch took time off to start her family with Seth Rollins.
Becky carries with her a level of swagger and confidence barely seen in WWE this side of Stone Cold and The Rock. It could be argued that no WWE performer aside from Daniel Bryan has been as over as Lynch was at her peak. She showed that women's wrestling draws just as much as men's, and will likely continue to prove this for years to come.
