Konosuke Takeshita has confirmed his return to AEW this past week and after the success of his last visit fans will be excited to see what this young talent can do this time around.

He made his wrestling debut for DDT Pro-Wrestling in August of 2011 having already won the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship during an exhibition match earlier in the month. His first match was in a losing effort against El Generico. By 2013 he would team up with Tetsuya Endo entering a critically acclaimed feud with The Golden Lovers, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Endo would betray his former friend by joining Damnation in 2016 but that didn’t stop the rise of Takeshita, he would achieve championship gold and form a stable called All Out.

Along with 24 championship reigns, including his current reign as K-OD Openweight Champion, Takeshita became the first Tokyo Sports Rookie of the Year to win the award while still in high school in 2013. He has also won seven tournaments with the most recent taking place in 2021. His last appearance with AEW took place in 2021 but maybe this time he could stick around for a while longer and maybe rekindle a feud with Tetsuya Endo. Showing the world what those who watch DDT already know, it’s not all comedy matches.
