Longest individual reign as a World Champion: 105 days as World Heavyweight Champion World Titles held: 4-time WWE Champion (combined 139 days), 7-time World Heavyweight Champion (combined 409 days) Within just five years of holding his first World Title, the Rated-R Superstar went on to hold an amazing eleven World Championships during his time with the WWE up until his unfortunate retirement. It's likely he would have continued to succeed at main event level if the condition of his neck hadn't forced his retirement. Edge never held a world title for that long a period with a brief 105 days being his longest attempt, but Edge wasn't necessarily that kind of Champion. Being billed as an opportunist, Edge usually played the role of the wrestler chasing the championship, rather than the one who held and defended it. It must also be said that in the 2007-2010 era, the World Heavyweight Championship tended to bounce around quite often between wrestlers due to changes in creative decisions and booking. Considering his run in the WWE was cut short, Edge still did incredibly well in his wrestling career ranking, in as the eighth most decorated World Champion in wrestling history.
