10 Most Devastating WWE Neck Injuries

9. Daniel Bryan

To say Daniel Bryan€™s injury was ill-timed would be a major understatement. Just over a month after stealing the show and headlining the biggest WrestleMania of all time, Bryan and his fans were dealt a colossal blow with the news that he required immediate neck surgery. Though there was no direct incident cited which caused the injury, years of diving head-butts from the top rope were sure a contributing factor. The monster spot from Extreme Rules€”just a week before the surgery announcement€”may well have been the straw that broke the proverbial camel€™s back. At the time of writing, Bryan has been out of action for nearly four months now. However, it was revealed last month that the former champ could require Tommy John surgery on his elbow€”potentially keeping him on out for another three months. Thus it isn€™t necessarily the neck surgery alone that has kept Bryan out for so long. Nonetheless, the procedure did shave off a number of months from the career push of a lifetime.
