10 Disastrously Timed WWE Injuries

8. Mr. Kennedy

Money In The Bank was the highest 'title' Mr. Kennedy would achieve in WWE, but he seemed destined for greatness upon bagging the briefcase at WrestleMania 23. Already the recipient of a sustained push towards the main events, Kennedy oddly lost the case to Edge on the 7 May 2007 episode of Raw.

This was especially strange considering Kennedy had announced his intentions to cash in at WrestleMania XXIV. A full year on top was within reach, right before the charismatic star was shut down.

After WWE had already revealed Kennedy had suffered a torn tricep muscle, it came out that the injury wasn't as serious as first feared. Nonetheless, his push had been scrapped and the creative team moved on without him.

What a miserable few months this must have been for Kennedy. Not only was he legitimately hurt, but his bosses badly let him down by cancelling his planned push, ousting him from the WWE Title mix for good.
