4. Pepper The Chihuahua

1999 was a dark, dark year for the Big Boss Man. Being hung by The Undertaker flipped a switch in him, and after being spared from certain death, he went on a rampage through the Hardcore division. His main feud during this time period was Al Snow, and for whatever reason, WWE decided to bring Snow’s pet chihuahua Pepper into the mix.

The two met in a Falls Count Anywhere bout at SummerSlam 1999, and it soon spilled into the backstage area, and eventually a nearby bar. Snow had set Pepper’s carrier box near the entrance way minutes into the match, so Boss Man picked it up, teased Pepper, then struck Snow with the carrier before carelessly tossing it overhead.

Jim Ross was made to apologise for the incident, and revealed that Pepper had been removed from the box beforehand - but it got worse. Boss Man kidnapped the dog two weeks later, and arranged a hotel room meeting in which, unbeknown to Snow, he fed his foe a meat dish made from Pepper’s remains.

The duo eventually settled their differences in the infamous Kennel From Hell match at Unforgiven, in which the “attack dogs” surrounding the ring looked more content to chill out than go after the combatants.
