10 Most Dominant Monster Heels In WWE History

8. Mark Henry

A recognisable figure ever since the Attitude Era, Mark Henry has had a varied WWE career. He is still best known for his Sexual Chocolate gimmick in the late 1990s, but he has since crafted an interesting persona as a monster heel alongside various runs as a face. On many of his returns from frequent injuries, Henry has torn a path of destruction through jobbers, marking him out as a top villain. Henry's biggest heel success came during his "Hall of Pain" gimmick in 2011. He was drafted to the SmackDown brand in that year and began a brutal feud with Big Show. This culminated in a match between the two at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, which Henry won. After the match, he crushed Big Show's leg with a chair, a fate that befell Kane, Vladimir Kozlov and The Great Khali in subsequent weeks. It didn't take long for Henry to win the World Heavyweight Championship under this gimmick, holding the belt for the first time in 15 years with the WWE. He held the title for a few months before dropping it to Big Show and being forced to take more time off due to further injuries. Mark Henry has had a glittering and varied career in WWE, but his true legacy is as a formidable, powerful monster heel.
