10 Dream Matches If The Rock Ever Returns To WWE

Rematch with Brock Lesnar? Trying to solve the Firefly Funhouse? Winning custody of Maria's child?

Finally…The Rock has commmme back…Maybe someday. Sure enough, the idea of the Brahma Bull ever making even a part time return to wrestling, occupies a place just behind impossible on the probability rankings. I mean seriously, we are more likely to get CM Punk vs Triple H at WrestleMania than the Great One wrestling regularly again on WWE programming.

However, as long as it remains physically possible, we the marks can speculate. Because let’s face it, no matter how much we complain about legends stealing the spotlight from younger talents, the prospect of seeing the Rock Layeth the Smacketh Down on some jabroni and then pinning him in the middle of the ring, is one we would give anything to see.

And since we have gotten our feet wet in the dreamland pool, let’s dive in a little deeper and enjoy all the wrestling fantasies it has to offer. So, if we are to presume a Rock comeback is on, who would be the dream opponents for the Great One?

10. Roman Reigns

Alright let’s get the obvious out of the way at the very start. So did you, WWE viewer, know that the Rock and Roman Reigns are in fact cousins? No seriously, did you know that they are cousins? Because, I mean, it’s not like WWE will mention it at every chance now will they?

Poor sarcasm aside, this story writes itself. There is a family history to be called upon, both are similar types of wrestlers and there’s every chance they will enjoy working with one another. Of course the promos will likely be a massacre of Mr. Reigns but come on now, he’ll make it through.

Perhaps the most intriguing element of this feud would be the fact that thanks to WWE’s obsession with trying to cash in on Roman’s family lineage, he has always been stuck in its shadow. This would be the Big Dog’s opportunity to finally break free of all that for good.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
