Daniel Bryan has a genuine argument for being one of the best, if not the best in ring storyteller in the world right now. There is literally nothing that he can’t get across as compelling and engrossing. For goodness sake he almost made that Strap Match with the Fiend work.
Just thinking about all the possibilities if the Rock ever went up against the YES! Man will have any fan salivating. In what could even be a call back to the ultimately ill-fated Punk feud from 2013, DB could stand toe to toe with the Rock and not look like a massive chump by the end of it. Whatever hilarious jibe the Rock fires at him, Bryan could very well counter it with some passionate rhetoric that makes him stand tall over his legendary foe.
The match would absolutely rule too. You could have Bryan bring out his brutal, hard-hitting style while Rock can keep turning the tide with his big crowd popping moves. And the best part about all this is given Bryan’s creativity, you could get a number of different dynamics. It could be face Bryan, it could be eco-warrior heel Bryan angry at the Rock for being a capitalistic poster boy. It could even be a Bryan we haven’t seen yet. The possibilities are endless.
