So thus far there’s been a lot of talk about who could match up to the Rock in a promo or who could get the best match of the Brahma Bull, but at the end of the day if the Rock were ever to return, we would want to see him doing things that we haven’t seen before. Stories the likes of which Rock has never been a part of. And who better to call upon for a modern day storytelling virtuoso than the Psycho Killer.
Ciampa has helped craft one of the most emotionally driven storylines in recent memory with Johnny Gargano, and if given the opportunity and full creative freedom, the Lord alone knows what we could do with the Rock.
And let’s be honest, we wouldn’t just want the Rock back for some big fan popping moments or ridiculous verbal attacks. We would want to see him in the kind of plot that challenges and drags him to his limits. Ciampa has proven time and again he is an artist when it comes to putting those together.
