10 Dream Opponents For Cody's AEW TNT Title
3. Lio Rush
Lio Rush is just 25 years old, yet has already left an impact on the wrestling business and still has so much left to give. In a short but undeniably successful run with WWE, he tried a bit of everything, making everything he was handed work, whether he was managing Bobby Lashley as a sneering cowardly heel, or doing incredible TV matches as a babyface Cruiserweight champion.
If WWE's backstage culture was healthier, there's no doubt that Lio would have been a major star in the company, but now, he has the opportunity to truly define himself as a performer. He has all the talents needed to be a top champion, great on the mic, tremendous in the ring with his series against Angel Garza being some of NXT's finest TV matches since going to network television, and most importantly, he has the aura of a top guy.
A big showcase against Cody could absolutely lead to Lio being a fixture of AEW's upper midcard. While he considered leaving the business entirely for his music career, standing out on Dynamite could hopefully ensure that Lio remains in this industry delivering great matches for a long time to come.
