10 Dream Opponents For Cody's AEW TNT Title
2. Chris Dickinson
"The Dirty Daddy" Chris Dickinson, over the past decade, has built a reputation as a ring general on the independent scene. He is someone who can elevate any young wrestler with his mere presence and who can deliver a classic with almost any opponent at this point. The hard-hitting star is long due for a big-time TV appearance and there is no doubt that a workhorse like him could bring the best out of Cody.
It's heartbreaking that if WrestleMania weekend had went to plan this year, his planned match with Shingo Takagi would have likely established him with thousands of new fans. But even without that big spotlight, Dickinson is arguably the best worker not signed to a major company in America right now. He's got a brilliant offence, great skills on the mat, a memorable look and is capable of fulfilling any role he needs to. He connects with a crowd in such a way that he can play a natural babyface against Samoa Joe, or credibly replace Jon Moxley in the main event of Josh Barnett's Bloodsport without any backlash.
The Dirty Daddy would be the perfect addition for AEW in its second year, and a brilliant match with Cody is the least that he deserves after all his hard work.
