9. Konosuke Takeshita
As the Monty Python cast once said, it's "time for something completely different". Konosuke Takeshita vs. Edge represents that, because it's one million miles away from the legend vs. legend presentation of that aforementioned Stinger slammer. Yep, one million miles away, but still worthy of consideration from the decision-makers at All Elite towers.
Takeshita is some worker, and Edge can very much still go. He proved that on SmackDown just last week opposite Sheamus - the veteran's wrestling brain, and his ability to weave the right spots in at the right times, is virtually unmatched. Imagine what he'd be capable of in there against someone like Konosuke.
Of course, there's also that Canadian connection to Takeshita mouthpiece Don Callis that AEW could tie in too. Why wouldn't they? Callis vs. Edge could be special on the mic, then the incoming hero could gift Konosuke his best AEW match yet.
Outside bet, maybe. Sparkling in-ring winner, absolutely.
