9. John Cena vs Neville

While he’d have higher profile matches before and after, for many fans John Cena was never better than during his US Championship run. Instigating an open invitational policy, Cena locked horns with many rising stars, never failing to elevate them in fantastic matches.

He’d enjoy a great series with Kevin Owens and a couple of bangers with Cesaro, but the best match of the bunch might be his 2015 bout against Neville. The British star was coming off a successful NXT run and he more than held his own in his highest profile match to date.

His innovative high-flying offense instantly gets the crowd on his side, and Cena is eager to give the Geordie as much of a push as he can. Neville nicks out of the AA and has the veteran seriously on the ropes as Cena has to dig deep to keep in the frantic contest.

Sadly, the match is ended by a Rusev interruption, and the pair never had the chance to renew hostilities. A shame - there was definitely something here.
