10 Dream Wrestling Matches That Only Happened Once

3. Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins

WWE did so much right with The Shield, creating a massively popular faction which paved the way for three new main eventers. At the final hurdle, though - the climactic triple threat match - they dropped the ball, giving the match away on a C-tier PPV.

Their sole triple threat outing is a decent match, unsurprisingly. The breaks had been put on the Roman Reigns push for the time being, and the crowd is wild for champion Dean Ambrose, even if he never really has the backing of the office.

This was a WrestleMania main event, though, not the closer for Battleground 2016. While the main aim of The Shield was to birth a new top guy in Roman Reigns, they wound up with three different but fantastic stars with a compelling backstory and great in-ring chemistry.

Placing the three together to close the show of shows would have demonstrated that WWE still has the ability to create new stars. Instead, they chucked this one away with no real justification.
