10 Dream WWE Matches Between Stars From Different Eras
6. The Steiner Brothers (1991) vs. The British Bulldogs (1985)
Two of the greatest tag teams who unfortunately never crossed paths, the Steiners and Bulldogs missed each other by just a few years, and when discussing the best tag workers, both teams always appear at the top of lists. Rick and Scott Steiner possessed the kind of natural chemistry that brothers often do. Their innovative offense was groundbreaking for its time and the athleticism both men displayed despite frames packed with muscle was astounding. Their late 80s to early 90s run is a catalog of great matches. The British Bulldogs made a huge impact in a relatively short amount of time. Their peak years were cut far too short due to Dynamite Kid's back injury. Even though he was apparently a miserably unpleasant human being, Kid was an amazing performer in the ring. He was far ahead of his time and has inspired countless other wrestlers. Together with Davey Boy Smith, who served as the team's powerhouse, the Bulldogs were absolutely awesome. The two teams match up well in nearly every aspect. None of the four are outstanding promos (although Scott would go on to be incredibly and incoherently entertaining on the mic in later years). But when it comes to in-ring action they had few peers. They both worked a fast-paced, explosive style filled with effective teamwork and innovative maneuvers. The match doesn't need much of a story. Just two teams who prided themselves on being the best competing to answer the question of who was.
