10 Dream WWE Matches Between Stars From Different Eras

3. Randy Savage (1988) vs. CM Punk (2013)

Randy Savage Cm Punk The beauty of this match is you could easily switch the heel/face dynamic and it would likely still be just as compelling. CM Punk, while wildly popular among fans, is clearly at his most comfortable when he's playing the heel, so for that reason I'm going with the 2013 version of Punk. Randy Savage is obviously a big inspiration for Punk, and much like oft-requested dream match against Steve Austin, this is a match Punk would have loved to take place. "The Macho Man" is one of the most beloved stars of any era, as evidenced by the fact that crowds still chant his name at arenas to this day. A truly elite worker, Savage is one of the greats. Imagine the build up to a match between WWE Champion Savage from 1987, being assaulted at every turn by the same CM Punk who went toe to toe verbally with The Rock and relentlessly pursued the Undertaker. Best of all, it would have led to a showdown that would have been a classic for the ages.
