10 Dream WWF vs WCW Matches We All Had In The 90s

5. The Undertaker vs. Sting

This is one of a handful of matches on this list that still gets mentioned as a possibility. Despite getting his start in WCW and other small promotions, Undertaker is widely regarded as being a WWF creation through and through. To many, he is WWF, the only main-eventer who stayed with the company through the entire Monday Night Wars. Similarly, Sting is viewed as the heart and soul of WCW, standing firm even while mainstays like Ric Flair and Lex Luger tried their hand in WWF. After Sting€™s transformation to the €œCrow€-era character, the desire to see a match between he and Taker took off. Both were kind of dark and brooding characters, and both were the conscience of their respective promotions. Such a match would have done great business. The promos and setup alone €“ with Undertaker bringing a coffin to the ring and Sting rappelling down from the rafters €“ would have sent fans into a frenzy. Currently, fans are salivating at the prospect of a Taker-Sting match now that Sting has signed some sort of deal with WWE. Nevermind that Sting is 55 years old, while Undertaker will be 50 by next year€™s WrestleMania €“ assuming he€™s capable of performing. The aura surrounding such a match has only magnified in the 13 years since WCW folded.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
