10 DUMB WWE Matches (We Didn't Want To Admit Were GENIUS!)

This one should be considered essential viewing for multiple reasons.

Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, it was a personally-gratifying moment for Hornswoggle and El Torito. They were comedy foil on WWE's weeklies, and that wasn't going to change, but they campaigned hard for a showcase spot right before Extreme Rules 2014 went live on-air.

WWE bosses gave them that by booking a fun-filled "WeeLC" encounter with mini-ladders. There was a similarly-sized referee and announce team too (bonus points for "Micro Cole", by the way), and all of it was Hornswoggle's doing. He mapped most of this out, and had the best time showing what he could actually do as a worker.

Underneath the laughs, Swoggle and Torito worked hard to put on a good bout. They succeeded. Everything about WWE's presentation downplayed that this was actually a TLC clash at heart, but the match was well-worked and slick. Go watch it if you fancy seeing something totally unique.

Perhaps the most genius move was Hornswoggle playing up to WWE's one note jokes just so he could tick one off the bucket list.
