10 DUMB WWE Returns (We Didn't Want To Admit Were GENIUS!)

2. Nia Jax (2023)

We're over one full year into Nia Jax's second WWE run and it's been a total blast.

That might not read like the most universally popular statement, but you've got to call 'em how you see 'em. Nia has been busting out the best work of her career in-ring and on the microphone since returning as a heel mauler starting with the 11 September 2023 Raw. Her annihilator/a-Nia-lator (however you want to spell it) makes Yokozuna's banzai drop look like a love tap.

Critics were rather confused when Triple H brought Jax back. After all, she'd been the female coming of Mabel during her first foray - Nia injured a few of her peers, and never seemed totally in control of her body during matches. Something has clicked in 2023 and 2024, being fair. She's blossomed into the best version of herself, and it's awesome to witness.

Time away from WWE's spotlight did Jax some good. Since coming back, she's been a heel linchpin for divisions on Raw and SmackDown. Seeing her win Queen Of The Ring and then become Women's Champ has been a joy.
